Let students explore the process of scene exploration as crime scene investigators and forensic scientists!
This interactive Google Slides game teaches students how to process/document crime scenes, apply fingerprinting techniques (rolling and flat prints), and analyze scenes and prints. Students will be identifying errors regarding a robbery and possible suspects in an escape room format - they must fully evaluate the case before it is dismissed! They must investigate the case through challenges that provide lockbox numbers. This can be completed with an imaginary lockbox or with physical boxes for each group. Topics include whorls, arches, loops, minutiae, evidence types, and chain of custody.
The simulation can last for one class period. If desired, the simulation can be done on day 1 and the mini-lab on day 2.

- FREE mini-lab that can be completed in person (requires ink pads)
